Ahead of Yud-Gimmel Iyar: Preparations Underway – Moments Before the Crowds Arrive

Ahead of the yahrzeit of Rabbi Yisroel Aryeh Leib, the Rebbe’s brother, special preparations are underway at the cemetery in Tzfat. In recent days, members of Hisachdus HaChassidim under the leadership of Rabbi Shimon Yehuda Pizem, together with dedicated volunteers, have been working energetically to prepare the site for the thousands of chassidim expected to visit from the weekend through Sunday • Read More

The area in front of the cemetery has been cleaned, arranged, and prepared to receive the visitors.

A spacious tent has been erected near the gravesite, providing a place for people to gather, learn, rest, and Daven . Sidurim and Mishnayos have already been placed there — all in an uplifting Chassidic atmosphere.

Even after night falls, the area will remain well-lit. Thanks to a comprehensive lighting system installed especially for the event (as in previous years), visitors arriving at night will be able to pray and stay safely and comfortably.

The site is open from today (Thursday, 9 Iyar) until this coming Monday (14 Iyar) to all who wish to come and strengthen their connection to the Rebbe, Melech HaMoshiach.

Over the coming days, farbrengens will be held with mashpi’im and shluchim arriving especially for the occasion.

The highlight will be on Sunday, Yud-Gimmel Iyar, with a special prayer gathering followed by a central farbrengen featuring Chassidic melodies and heartfelt inspiration about our current mission: preparing to greet Moshiach in actuality.

The Rebbe placed great importance on this day and once even asked: “Was my brother’s gravesite visited?”

That question still echoes in the hearts of Chassidim. Each year, Hisachdus HaChassidim organizes this growing pilgrimage as a deeply personal and heartfelt expression of connection to the Rebbe.

Get ready and head to Tzfat — alone, with family, or in a group — and join the thousands already making their way to the old cemetery.

The path is open, organized, and welcoming — exactly how a Chassid wants to experience his bond with the Rebbe.
