Tens of thousands gathered for the traditional Birchas Kohanim, as well as Shacharis and Musaf of Sukkos, at the Kosel HaMaaravi.
During the gathering, Rabbi Shmuel Rabinowitz, Rav of the Kosel HaMaaravi and the Holy Sites, led the crowd in reciting chapters of Hallel and thanksgiving in recognition of the tremendous miracles and kindnesses witnessed during the flight from Dubai to Israel.
Rabbi Rabinowitz called on the public to increase in praise and gratitude to Hashem, while continuing to daven for the safety of IDF soldiers and security forces and for peace and unity among Klal Yisroel.
The Western Wall Heritage Foundation reported that nearly one million people have visited the Kosel plaza since the beginning of Sukkos, for Aliyah LaRegel. The visitors included Rabbanim, public figures, tourists from around the world, and large numbers of Jews from Israel and abroad who chose to spend Sukkos in Yerushalayim Ir HaKodesh.
The highlight of the Yom Tov has been the two traditional Birchas Kohanim gatherings, when tens of thousands came to receive the Bracha of Aharon HaKohen, together with survivors of captivity and bereaved families.
