    Last Thursday, the final night of Chanukah, Chabad of Ethiopia headed by Rabbi Eliyahu Chaviv and his wife Devorah, held the groundbreaking ceremony of their new massive 32,000 square-foot Chabad House and Jewish Center in Addis Ababa.

    The evening was attended by members of the Jewish community, Israeli and local businessmen, federal and local government representatives, and Ambassadors from an number of countries.

    The 3,000 square-meter (32,000 square-foot) new campus will include a Shul, a hall, guest rooms, an Kosher restaurant, Mikvah, preschool and more.

    Of course, during the cornerstone ceremony a massive Menorah was kindled, in honor of Chanukah.
