Chabad of Nigeria Dedicates Building Extension Modeled After 770 and New Sefer Torah
To mark the tenth anniversary of Chabad in Nigeria, headed by Rabbi Israel and Haya Uzan, they added a wing to the Chabad house in the shape of 770, a Siyum Sefer Torah also took place. The Event was attended by ambassadors from across Africa • Full Story, Photos
To mark the tenth anniversary of Chabad in Nigeria, headed by Rabbi Israel and Haya Uzan, they added a wing to the Chabad house in the shape of 770.
The Siyum and Hachnosas Sefer Torah was dedicated to Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky by Rabbi Dov Ziskin of New York.
The wvent was attended by ambassadors from across Africa. also joining were the Rebbe’s Shluchim to Lagos, Nigeria Ivory Coast and the Unites States.
The dedication was followed by a Seudas Mitzvah.
Rabbi Israel and Haya Uzan arrived in 2010 in Nigeria for the first time as a couple. Rabbi Israel used to come for Jewish holidays in different countries around Africa under Rabbi Bentolila – Chief Rabbi of Central Africa.
