A driver struck and injured a 3-year-old boy Wednesday, Yom Kippur afternoon, in Boro Park, according to police.
The incident happened around 3 p.m. at 4402 13th Ave. Police say the child ran into the street and was hit by a Dodge Caravan.
Police say the boy was alert when officers arrived. He suffered head trauma and was taken to Maimonides Medical Center by Hatzalah. He is in critical but stable condition.
Police say the female driver was heading eastbound on 44th Street at the time. They say she stayed at the scene and was issued a summons for driving without a license.
