The largest number of successful applicants came from Mexico (23,634), followed by Colombia (18,436), Venezuela (9,168), and Argentina (5,142). Israelis (3,938) and Americans (2,344) were also among those who gained Spanish nationality.

Though the application deadline closed in 2019, thousands of cases remain unresolved. As of now, 9,361 applications are still pending, while 7,189 have been rejected.
