The event, held at Superland in Rishon Lezion, was attended by 4,000 family members who enjoyed a day full of experiences, including access to the park’s attractions, a rich buffet, and engaging performances. Special workshops were conducted to teach participants about the processes of making Tefillin, Mezuzahs, honey, candlesticks, and Challah baking.
Among the celebrants were children of IDF soldiers who had lost their fathers during the intense battles in Gaza following the Simchat Torah massacre. The event was organized under the leadership of Rabbi Mendy Marton, son of the beloved Rabbi Itzik Marton, who was dedicated to Kollel Chabad and its Bar Mitzvah events.
The festive atmosphere was enhanced by musical performances and rich content workshops. A dedicated booth revealed the process of making Tefillin and Mezuzahs, engaging the participants in learning about these significant Mitzvos. Rabbi Shmaria Harel managed the workshop area.
Special gifts were presented to the Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, and each group received individual attention. The event was honored by the presence of Tsvi Cohen, Deputy CEO of the National Insurance Institute; Yona Shalom, Director of Disability and Rehabilitation Services; and Mashi Sandrovich, Director of Rehabilitation Services at the National Insurance Institute. They were welcomed by Rabbi Mendy Bluy of Kollel Chabad, who presented the comprehensive program for the Bar and Bat Mitzvahs.
Rabbi Shalom Duchman, head of Kollel Chabad, expressed that “In such a difficult time of relentless war, this touching celebration is a beacon of light in the darkness. This celebration is the best response to the vile murderers. They tried to harm us, but we will continue to build the fabric of our Jewish life. Am Yisrael Chai!”
