The release includes 70 prisoners deported to Egypt, 114 sent to Judea and Samaria, and 16 to the Gaza Strip. Of the 200 released, 137 were affiliated with Hamas, 26 with Fatah, and 29 with the Islamic Jihad. The remaining prisoners belonged to the PLO and the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine.

Among the notable figures freed was a member of Islamic Jihad who was accused of carrying out an attack that killed Israeli soldiers. Another prominent figure is Mohammed al-Tos, 69, from Bethlehem. Al-Tos, who had been sentenced to life imprisonment and had served 40 consecutive years, was involved in forming a terrorist group responsible for multiple shooting attacks in Jerusalem and Bethlehem.

Additionally, Salim Hajjeh, a senior Hamas figure who was sentenced to 16 life terms for his role in the 2011 suicide bombing on bus line 16 in Haifa, was released. The attack killed 15 people and injured 40. Hajjeh was also linked to the Hamas Nablus cell, responsible for attacks like the deadly assault on the Sbarro restaurant and the Dolphinarium.

This release has sparked renewed concerns over security, as several of those freed are linked to high-profile attacks against Israelis.
