A new nigun, based on the maamor “Lecho Dodi” in Russian, was composed specially for the nephew’s chasunah by Chaim Tovshteyn.

Mazel Tov to Moshe Yitzchok and Tzivia Tovshteyn, who were married in Eretz HaKoidesh while it was under bombardment by Iranian missiles, and who were missing many guests, including the uncle himself.

The lyrics are drawn from the Lecho Dodi maamor, and every Russian‑speaking Jew who was unfamiliar with the maamor but heard this nigun remarked about the feelings of the powerful spirit of this maamor. With HaShem’s help, this will inspire them to take an interest in studying it.

The nigun may also be enjoyed without lyrics. It carries the spirit of the procession to the kallah and can potentially be sung during this procession.
