This year’s Moshiach Chidon Gala Banquet took place on Sunday night, bringing together Bochurim from around the world to celebrate their dedication to learning Inyonei Geulah uMoshiach.

An impressive 2,000 Bochurim participated in this year’s Moshiach Chidon, with over 450 advancing past the final round and earning their spots at the Gala Banquet and Chidon. The feeling of Achdus permeated the air, uniting participants from various countries, languages, and backgrounds, all with a shared goal: to bring Moshiach.

Rabbi Mendel Yuzevitch served as the MC for the evening. The panel of judges included Member of the Beis Din of Crown Heights Rabbi Yosef Yeshaya Braun, Dean of Oholei Torah Rabbi Mendel Blau, and Geulah Umoshiach Master Rabbi Sholom Zirkind.

Bochurim on stage represented various Yeshivas, many of whom had already showcased their knowledge in mini Chidon competitions at their respective Yeshivas.

The stage representatives were: Menachem Mendel Segal from YTTL Antwerp, Belgium, Berke Krinsky from Lubavitch Mesivta of Scottsdale, Arizona, Menahem Mendel Nemanow from Yeshiva Ketana Brunoy, France, Mendel Binyominson from Yeshivas Lubavitch Cincinnati, Dov Wolosow from Lubavitch Mesivta Chicago, Chaim Shalom Halevi Segal from Tomchei Tmimim Dnipro, Ukraine, Mordechai Tzvi Vogel from Lubavitch Yeshiva Ketanah London, Mendel Cohen from Oholei Yosef Yitzchok Manchester, Meir Tiechtel from Mesivta Lubavitch of Monsey, Arye Mochkin from Ateres Menachem Montreal, Yossel Seton from Tomchei Temimim Napierville, Avremi Lustig from Yeshivas Beis Dovid Shlomo New Haven, Shmuel Dovid Marasow from Oholei Torah Mesivta, Efraim Calvo from Beis Shalom Postville, Yisroel Meir Altien from Mayan Torah Pomona, Mendel Newman from Yeshivas Tomchei Temimim Queens, Hillel Rapoport from Mesivta D’Suffield, Connecticut, Yaakov Lang from Yeshivas Ohr Temimim Toronto, Sholomke Engel from Mesivta Lubavitch Toronto, Zeev Raskin from Tomchei Temimim of Vienna, Austria, Ari Laber from Bais Menachem Wilkes-Barre, and Yosef Majeski from Mesivta Menachem Westchester.

The Bochurim were treated to a special multimedia presentation exploring the technological breakthroughs that paralleled the Chassidus revolution, and how these developments serve as a preparation for Moshiach.

The Moshiach Chidon also celebrated over 50 Bochurim who successfully completed the Mivtza for all three consecutive Mesivta years. They were awarded a ‘Geulah U’Moshiach Semicha,’ presented by a member of the Beis Din and judge, Rabbi Braun.

The night reached its peak with the announcement of the winners. Mendel Cohen from Oholei Yosef Yitzchok Manchester won first place and was awarded a Ksav Yad from the Rebbe. Shmuel Dovid Marasow from Oholei Torah Mesivta claimed second place and received a dollar from the Rebbe, while Sholomke Engel from Mesivta Lubavitch Toronto came in third, receiving a precious stamp from the Rebbe.

As a special memento of the occasion, each participant was gifted a Sefer on Geulah uMoshiach.

Additionally, more than 90 Bochurim who had won Seforim in raffles during the course of the Mivtza were presented with their prized Seforim.

The banquet concluded on a high note, with spontaneous dancing and singing filling the room as the winners were announced, celebrating the months of hard work the finalists had put into learning Inyonei Geulah uMoshiach.

We are confident that this event brought the Rebbe much nachas, and we hope and pray that next year’s Chidon will take place in Yerushalayim, with Moshiach at its lead.
