Advice to a community activist who wasn’t feeling satisfied with himself:
Since Divine Providence has provided you the ability to assist others — both within your family as well as through your communal work at the shul and at the school etc. — that ought to give you much joy and should be seen as a great gift from Hashem. You ought to derive from this immense soulful satisfaction.
As to your question about parnassa, you should continue with your current job. The fact that you have not been promoted to a more prestigious level which you are of the opinion you deserve there (at the company) shouldn’t disturb you — this isn’t the primary aspect of life, rather doing good etc. is what truly matters.
