At the invitation of the Kinus Hashluchim, Former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant arrived in Crown Heights on Sunday evening for an impressive visit to Beis Chayeinu-770 to join thousands of Shluchim, for the Rosh Chodesh Kislev Farbrengen.
The Defence Minister began the visit with a warm-up Farbrengen with the Vaad Hakinus, Rabbi Yosef Tzvi Carlebach (NJ), Rabbi Mendel Hendel, director of the Chabad World Center to Greet Moshiach, reporter Mati Tuchfeld and CHabadinfo reporter R’ Avreimke Eisenshtien
After the warm-up farbrengen, Gallant made a special visit to 770. There he met with his friend Rabbi David Nachshon (Chairman of Chabad’s Mitzvah Tanks and of Tzivos Hashem of Eretz Yisroel), and Rabbi Shneor Greenwald, (director of the Chabad House at 770).
At the height of the visit, Gallant was invited to give a speech at the Rosh Chodesh Kislev Farbrengen. During the speech, the Defence Minister congratulated the Shluchim for their continued success in their Shlichus.
He also addressed the ongoing wars and miracles seen from it. “This war brought us unprecedented achievements thanks to two things, thanks to Hashem’s miracles and thanks to the actions of the IDF soldiers, this is not arguable.
“The victory in the war could not have happened without the Emuna of Bnei Yisroel, without the support of all Jews all over the world, thanks to Davening and the fighting spirit of the IDF soldiers, they deserve every Brachab and our appreciation.
“I too, when I led this campaign, knew that I was doing it in the name of the Am Yisroel, and also as a Shliach of Hashem, that’s what it means, we are Jews, we have a land, we have a people and we do it thanks to Torah.
“I want to thank everyone who is here for the great mobilization of the Shluchim, everywhere and at every point where soldiers go into battle we meet you—the Shluchim, it gives chayus to our soldiers.”
“We also meet you anywhere in the world, Chabad is another foreign ministry of Israel, Yasher Koach” concluded Galant.
Gallant was accompanied by his friend and Shliach Rabbi Avrumi Portowicz.
