WATCH: What is Shmuz Quackin’ About?

Every year as Chanukah rolls around, we look for ways to help our children connect to the Rebbe’s call to spread the light. We want them to feel that being a lamplighter isn’t just something for grown-ups, it’s their mission, too. MyMaor has just released a video for free that makes this message relatable for every child • Read More, Watch

    The “Best of the Best”

When a hurricane floods their basement and washes away their Menorah, the Mishinsky family faces one disaster after another. A rounded Menorah is delivered by mistake, and the donuts arrive without a proper kosher seal. Just as they are about to settle for “good enough,” Uncle Yitz arrives in a hot air balloon with a lesson from history: the Yidden in the Beis Hamikdash refused to use impure oil, insisting on the “best of the best.” Inspired, the kids head to the UPS store, gather recycled pipes, and build a beautiful, straight-branched Menorah themselves.

    The Moshiach Mission

The inspiration moves from Sippur Island to the MyMaor office, where Shmooze the duck interrupts the staff with a series of frantic “Quacks.” While the team jokes that he’s just hungry for tuna, they soon realize he’s proposing the week’s Moshiach Mission. The mission is simple: don’t just celebrate Chanukah, share it. Every child is challenged to jump into Mivtza Chanuka by giving a Menorah to another Jew, inviting a friend to a party, or sharing the story of the nissim. By refusing to settle for anything less than our best, our children are doing their part to flood the world with the light of Geulah.
