Rabbi Yitzchok and Meir Simcha Minkowicz of Chabad Lubavitch of Southwest Florida together with Bob and Taryn of their community went on a Solidarity Mission to Israel to inspire and were inspired.
Our visit to Sheba Medical Center in Ramat Gan Isreal – which is the largest and leading Israeli hospital, which has also won wide recognition in the international medical arena – was very moving and inspiring.
We visited the wounded soldiers in the rehabilitation part of the hospital who were wounded to the point of all you can do was cry as you witness in front of your eyes wounded soldiers with loss of legs, hands and other huge wounds.
You listen to their stories and the way they look at what happened as they see themselves as a surviving Miracle and are grateful to Hashem that they are alive.
You are there to inspire and you just want to cry. The beyond amazing part is that every wounded soldier is Happy and full of Faith. As we know Singing and music reaches places where words can’t reach so we sang with the soldiers and gave them some presents and walked away inspired that no matter what happens to us AM YISROEL CHAI!!!
