In a three-day trip to the stunning Côte d’Azur region on the southeastern coast of France, Lubavitch photographer Mordechai Lubecki visited the city of Nice and its historic Jewish community.
During his visit, Mordechai Lubecki toured local Jewish mosdos and community centers, capturing the vibrancy of Yiddishkeit in the region. A highlight of the trip was his stop at the central Chabad House of Nice, directed by the Rebbe’s Shliach, Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak Pinson. The Chabad presence in Nice includes ten Chabad Houses — all personally established at the Rebbe’s directive — dedicated to spreading Yiddishkeit and strengthening Jewish life.
Mordechai Lubecki was also struck by the sight of the Israeli flag proudly displayed at Nice’s City Hall — a symbol of the city’s strong friendship with the Jewish community and Eretz Yisroel.
He also took time to visit several kosher establishments under the Lubavitch hashgacha, including Chabad’s own restaurant, all of which uphold the highest standards of kashrus.
