Shluchim Partake in Governor’s Seder

Monday evening, the Governor of Illinois, JB Pritzker, together with the First Lady, MK Pritzker, hosted their first model-Seder in the Governor’s Mansion, in Springfield, Illinois. The annual model-Seder with the Illinois governor is a tradition going back many years.
There were eighty guests who were invited to participate in this festive event, including the Illinois Legislature’s Jewish caucus from the senate and house of representatives, gubernatorial employees, Rabbis and friends from around the state.
The Shluchim to Springfield, Rabbi Mendy and Sara Turen, were amongst the Governor’s honored guests.
After thanking Rabbi and Mrs. Turen for participating, Governor Pritzker conveyed; “we were very excited that this Seder, was our first party since moving into the Governor’s Mansion. We hope to have many more celebrations in the future.”
The food was all kosher under the supervision of CRC of Chicago, and catered by Zelda’s Catering from Skokie.
