Boy Identified in the Mask Photo

As we reported yesterday, a photo surfaced of a boy receiving a dollar from the Rebbe by ‘Sunday Dollars’, in this unique photo the boy can be seen wearing a facemask, something that is very common now amid the coronavirus.
The boy in the photo has been identified as Menachem Ehrental, a boy from Yerushalayim who was unfortunately battling Leukemia.
The photo was identified by the Frum Israeli radio personality Menachem Toker who posted the picture on social media with this caption in Hebrew loosely translated “This is a photo of my childhood friend Menachem Ehrental, with the Lubavitcher Rebbe”.
Unfortunately, Menachem Ehrenthal passed away at the young age of 15 from Leukemia. His parents, Chaim and Miriam Ehrenthal went on to found an organization called Zichron Menachem to help cancer patients under the age of 25, in Menachem’s memory.
