A man is suspected of breaking into several stores Crown Heights, including a flower shop, a fruit store, and a pizzeria.
It was around 5:30pm Tuesday when a tall man, approximately 18 years old, entered Basil Restaurant in Crown Heights to use the restroom. By 2:00am, he will already be wanted for breaking into at least two Jewish stores on Kingston Ave and brandishing a gun.
The man was seen acting strangely in front of Basil and possibly carrying a firearm the night before the break-ins occurred. Surveillance footage from the stores showed that it was the same individual who broke into all three stores.
Although not much was stolen, the glass doors at the pizzeria were shattered.
The suspect is still at large and local authorities are warning people to be aware and keep an eye out for the suspect.
