On Sunday evening, at the Oholei Torah hall, Rabbi Raskin from Machon Stam completed the final letters of the Torah, surrounded by local rabbis and Shluchim from around the world. Distinguished guests, including members of the Crown Heights Beis Din, Rabbi Avraham Azdeba, and Rabbi Yosef Y. Braun, joined the historic moment.
Rabbi Moshe Shmuel Auerbach, chairman of the Sefer Torah Haklali committee, along with his son-in-law Rabbi Yossi Deitch and committee member Rabbi Yitzchak Prus, led the procession of the completed Torah to 770. The Torah was crowned according to the Rebbe’s precise instructions, with the participation of Rabbi Yekutiel Feldman and Rabbi Menachem Mendel Zaltsman.
As the Torah reached Eastern Parkway, an incredible stage, video screens, and live orchestra awaited thousands of celebrants. Rabbi Shneur Zalman Auerbach directed the singing and dancing in three languages, and a rare recording of the Rebbe’s voice was broadcast over the crowd. Special Hakafos honored donors, soldiers, children, and those involved in writing the Torah.
The grand celebration concluded with a Seudas Mitzvah, stories of Torah dedication, and a call to register Jews for the next Sefer Torah. The Kinus HaShluchim ended in unity and inspiration, leaving participants energized to carry the Rebbe’s mission worldwide. Donors contributing $360 or more will also have a chance to win a Rebbe dollar and a special coin distributed on Lag B’Omer.
