Despite arrests made in connection with the fraud and Shmira’s ongoing efforts to inspect stores and prevent scams, the discovery of this skimmer shows that the issue continues. Shmira recommends the following tips:
– Change your PIN immediately.
– Inspect card readers before use to ensure there isn’t a skimmer attached.
– Cover the PIN pad when entering your PIN.
