    A Jewish woman was the victim of a violent attempted carjacking after she was involved in a minor car accident.

    The incident occurred near the intersection of Remsen Avenue and Kings Highway in East Flatbush after the women exited her vehicle to exchange information with the other driver.

    Upon returning to her vehicle, the victim observed a stranger in her vehicle. When the perpetrator noticed the woman approaching her vehicle, he violently assaulted her punching her in the face. Bystanders intervened and caused the perpetrator to stop his attack. The perpetrator fled the scene before police and Shmira arrived.

    A knife belonging to the perpetrator was recovered from the vehicle.
