According to Shmira, the suspect snatched the wig off a Jewish woman, struck a child, and punched another victim — all while shouting hateful anti-Semitic remarks. In a further escalation, the suspect brandished a knife, threatening additional bystanders.
Thanks to quick coordination between community members and Shmira volunteers, the perpetrator was apprehended and taken into custody by the NYPD.
