CHK’s Vaad Hakashrus has issued an alert about Crown Height’s Lubavitch Matzah Bakery on Albany Ave. stating the “Bakery is currently not under the supervision of the Bais Din of Crown Heights CHK”
The alert added: “Please take note that any matza package without the CHK symbol is not under our hechsher.”
The Matzah bakery, which the Rebbe himself used the matzah bakery every Pesach, and distributed on Erev Pesach, has been one of the primary matzah for the Lubavitch community around the world for many years.
The CHK stated “we work to resolve these issues promptly.”

Kashrus Alert: Important Notice Regarding Matzos from Lubavitch Matzah Bakery.
The matza produced at the Lubavitch Matzah Bakery is currently not under the supervision of the Bais Din of Crown Heights CHK until further notice.
While we work to resolve these issues promptly, please be advised that this applies to all matza produced so far this year.
Please take note that any matza package without the CHK symbol is not under our hechsher.
