Peaceful hallways in Cheder Ohr Menachem turn a buzz as word gets around of the upcoming assembly.
Over the past three months, it was a daily delight to stroll thought recess and hear the voice of children learning and reviewing mishnayos, prakim and massechtos by heart.
The Successful MBP (Mishnayos Baal Peh) which uplifted the atmosphere and energized our students in learning was ran by Rabbi Zalman Goldstien and Rabbi Yossi Teleshevsky (OM Tzivos Hashem Director).
The mivtza was launched at the school assembly in honor of Chamisha Asar B’Shvat and spanned till Yud Alef Nissan where these young chassidim gave the Rebbe a unique present of over 22,000 lines of Tanya and Mishnayos.
Yesterday, on Pessach Sheini at a special assembly, Teudos where given out for the highest achievers. Highlighted were the Chassan and the Sgan of the entire Cheder, as well as the Chassan and the Sgan in each grade.
The principal of our Cheder Rabbi Menachem Mendel Yusewitz opened the assembly with a Dvar Torah. The Gemara describes a “Yoima Tavah LiRabanan” (how a Siyum of a Sugia was celebrated in the times of the Amoraim). ALL the chachomim rejoiced even when only ONE Chochom finished a Sugia. Same too in our cheder, like a family we ALL take pride in our Chaveirim’s success.
After giving of Tzedoka he invited Rabbi Zalman Goldstein to proceed with honoring the achieving students. One by one the Mitztaynim and Masmidim came up and posed with their certificate. Rabbi Goldstein then called on Rabbi Yossi Teleshevsky to honor the high ranking soldier in Tzivos Hashem to receive a splendid picture of our Rebbe MHM on Canvas.
Rabbi Teleshevsky then thanked the dedicated staff: Rabbi Binyomin Gordon, Rabbi Avreml Schtroks, Rabbi Levi Pinson, Rabbi Avrohom Meir Sherr and Rabbi Dovid Liberow who helped tremendously in making the mivtza the success it was by inspiring and testing students.
