Call Of The Shofar Is Back!

In an email sent from [email protected], participants are encouraged to join the new workshop titled “From Galut to Geula: Men’s Workshop” which will take place this weekend in Pennsylvania ● More

It’s been almost a year since the cult-like “Call Of The Shofar” was put in the spotlight for its dubious practices, and the Beis Din of Crown Heights prohibited the participation in their events (a prohibition which was reiterated a month later by Va’ad Rabbonei Lubavitch). The storm did not subside, and caused COTS to close down (or, at least people thought so).

A few weeks ago, people associated with COTS have launched a new program titled “From Galut to Geula: A Jewish Men’s Workshop Exploring Our Personal Journey’s From Enslavement to Awareness and Embodiment.”

Moshe Lieblich, using the email address Moshe @CallOfTheShofar.org emailed his contacts the details for this weekend, forwarding an email from Aharon Shamberg:

“We are excited to be putting together a Men’s Workshop entitled From Galut to Geula. Enclosed is a introduction letter a registration form and a contract. Please read over everything and contact me with any questions. If you have anyone you know who would benefit from this please be in touch with the ASAP. We are limiting participation to 15 people.”

Included with the email is a description of the program, with the following disclaimer:

“This is a men’s weekend that is based, but not limited to, our experiences with Call of the Shofar, It is not affiliated with the the Call of The Shofar Organization.”

And the contract includes the following condition:

“I hereby acknowledge that I am attending this Training solely for my own benefit and not as an observer, researcher, journalist, investigator, or in any other capacity than as a participant.”
