On Monday night, Vov Teves, Family and friends gathered at Oholei Torah for the Shloshim of Rabbi Shmuel Benjamin, the legendary Mechanech who taught at Oholei Torah for over 25 years and co-founder of KSCVK.
Rabbi Benjamin was a most devoted Mechanech of Oholei Torah Pre1A for twenty-five years, educating hundreds of Talmidim, imbuing a love of Yiddishkeit and laying strong foundations for them during those formative years.
He staunchly stood by his wife Devorah’s side, as she ran Keren Simchas Chosson V’Kalla, an organization that provides necessary funds and support for Chassanim and Kallahs.
The event was addressed by family and friends including, Rabbi Hershel Lustig, Rabbi Mendel Blau, Rabbi Yossi Goldstein, among others. R’ Yossi Benjamin, son of Rabbi Benjamin spoke a few words about his father, the Mechanech.
Rabbi Yossi Katzman moderated of the event. During the event a Siyum Mishnayos was held in honor of Rabbi Benjamin.
