    The Historical Significance of Elul

In this week’s edition of Rebbe Responsa: Historical Significance of Elul, Special Spiritual Actions for Elul and Often the Right Zivug Doesn’t Come First; Be Wholehearted with G-d • Full Story, Download

In this week’s edition, we present letters on the auspicious days of the month of Elul. Being that in this week’s Parshah there is the commandant to “be whole-hearted with G-d” we present one of the implications which the Rebbe’s derives from this in regard to Shidduchim. Published at the end of the booklet is a newly released letter.

The letters in this week’s booklet, unless otherwise noted, are taken from photocopies of the original sent letter or from secretarial copies. All footnotes to the letters were added by the publisher, unless otherwise noted.

The Rebbe’s English letters contain a wealth of guidance and perspective on myriads of topics in a style relatable to Jews from all walks of life. To view over 5,000 of these letters, download the Rebbe Responsa app.
