Rabbi Yitzchok Minkowicz, the Shliach of the Rebbe at Chabad Lubavitch of Southwest Florida, has announced a new weekly Torah series as part of his New Year and birthday resolution. Rabbi Minkowicz has committed to sharing a short, insightful Torah thought each week, drawing on the deep Chasidic discourses of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, many of which were personally certified and edited by the Rebbe himself.
The Rebbe, during more than 40 years of Farbrengen’s (Chasidic gatherings), delivered over 1,500 discourses. Of these, close to 200 were meticulously edited by the Rebbe, providing timeless insights into Jewish thought and spirituality. Rabbi Minkowicz’s new project aims to tap into the depth of these teachings and make them accessible to a broader audience.
“As the darkness of exile intensifies, we must counter it by bringing out even greater light,” said Rabbi Minkowicz in his announcement video. “These teachings of the Rebbe offer profound wisdom and guidance that are especially needed in today’s challenging times.”
The series will present concise, practical Torah thoughts aimed at inspiring individuals to take action in their daily lives, transforming mundane moments into opportunities for spiritual growth and connection with the Divine. Each teaching will highlight a different theme from the Rebbe’s discourses, emphasizing their relevance in addressing the struggles of the modern world.
The first Torah thought in the series was released in honor of Rosh Hashanah and is available online. Rabbi Minkowicz’s initiative has been warmly received by his community, and he hopes it will resonate with an even wider audience as the series continues.
For those interested in following the weekly teachings, the videos are available through Chabad Lubavitch of Southwest Florida’s online platforms.
