In the summer of 5727 a person wrote to the Rebbe that he is having difficulties honoring his parents, and asked the Rebbe for a blessing to be able to perform it with ease.
The Rebbe responded, in the week of Parshas Va’eschanan of 5727:
Regarding the topic of honoring your parents, you should learn by heart the verse from this week’s Torah portion [Va’eschanan] which contains this commandment, and say it three times a day, morning, afternoon and evening, until the situation is resolved.
[Learn the daily lessons of] Chumash, Tehillim and Tanya.
