In 1977, Lubavitch Youth Organization designed a Shalach Manos & Matanos L’Evyonim Box, to be used on Purim Mivtzoim. The box was designed to hold food items, and then be used as a Pushke.
The box was submitted to the Rebbe for approval, and the Rebbe’s answer was (4 Adar 5737):
“Surely the food items will be acceptable also to those who are Mehader in Kosher”
