Rabbi Notik was born to Rabbi Yaakov and Chana Notik on Chof Teves, 5729 in Samarkand, which was part of the Soviet Union at the time.
When he was twelve years old, he managed to move to Eretz Yisroel and learned in the Tomchei Temimim in Lod.
After that, he went on to learn in the Tomchei Temimim in Kiryat Gat under the famed Mashpia, Rabbi Zushe Alperowitz.
In th year of 5749, he travelled with his classmates and friends to spend the year with the Rebbe as part of the Kvutza program, following that, in 5750, Rabbi Notik served as a Shliach in the Tomchei Temimim in Kfar Chabad.
After his marriage to his wife Nechama, (nee Freeman), in the year of 5751, he became a Mashpia in Toras Emes in Yerusholayim as per the Rebbe’s directives to him.
When the Yeshiva closed for a short period in 5753, Rabbi Notik went to teach in Merkaz Gutnick in Yerusholayim, a Russian speaking center, and when the Yeshiva reopened in 5756, he returned to the Yeshiva as a Mashpia.
At the end of the year of 5771, Rabbi Notik took the position as a Mashpia in the Yeshiva in Rishon L’Tzion. Following the tragic passing of the head Mashpia of the Yeshiva, Rabbi Chaim Levi Yitzchok Ginsburg, Rabbi Notik was appointed as the head of the Mashpia to fill the large void that Rabbi Ginsburg left.
Rabbi Notik was very open in his position about Moshiach and publicizing the identity of Moshiach.
Rabbi Notik also ran organization of Tzedaka where he would give families in need money without anyone knowing which families would receive money from him.
Rabbi Notik passed away on Zayin Chashvan, following a lengthy illness.
