With great sorrow, we regret to inform you of the passing of Rabbi Yaakov Reich, of blessed memory, from Crown Heights.
For many years he was responsible for publishing Kehos Sforim and managed Otsar Sifrei Lubavitch till his last days.
He was 76
For many years, Rabbi Reich was responsible for publishing Kehos Sforim and managed Otsar Sifrei Lubavitch till his last days.
He also worked closely with Rabbi Sholom Mendel Simpson and Rabbi Zalman Gurary on various projects. He pioneered the way and produced the first Tehillas Hashem siddur with instructions and explanations, a monumental contribution to the Chabad community.
He lived across from the Rebbe’s house.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Esther Reich, and his children: Mrs. Efrat Edery (Japan), Rabbi Akiva Reich, Rabbi Menachem Yosef Reich, Rabbi Levi Yitzchak Reich, Mrs. Chana Altman, and Rabbi Yehuda Baruch Reich.
He was predeceased by his son, Rabbi Shmuel Reich.
The Levaya will be passing by 770 at 10:45 tomorrow morning.
