With great sadness, we regret to inform you of the passing of Rabbi Avrohom Shmuel Bukiet, OB”M, a Shliach in Eretz Yisrael, and a member of the Vaad Ruchni in Kfar Chabad. He passed away due to Corona on Wednesday, Hey Adar.
He was born in the United States on Daled Adar 5711 to R. Chaim Meir and Esther Bukiet. He later studied in Tomchei Temimim Montreal under Rabbi Menachem Zeev Greenglass. After his marriage to Mrs. Feiga Bracha Wilhelm he lived in Crown Heights. In 5718 he was sent by the Rebbe together with the group of “Shluchim to Eretz Hakodesh” to the city of Tzfas, and after a period he moved to Yokne’am and served as the rabbi of the settlement and as the Rebbe’s Shliach in Kiryat Ata.
In 5777, Mara D’Asara Rabbi Meir Ashkenazi appointed him as a member of the Vaad Ruchni in Kfar Chabad.
His funeral will begin at 3:00 PM and will pass through the streets of Kfar Chabad, in accordance with the Covid guidelines and without unnecessary crowds, in the direction of the Ahiezer Cemetery, where he will be buried.
