We are deeply saddened to report on the passing of Rabbi Shalom Weiss, a devoted Chossid from Manchester, UK, and longtime menahel of Yeshivas Tomchei Temimim of Manchester. He passed away on Thursday, 10 Iyar, 5785.
He was 82 years old.
For many years, R’ Sholom directed Yeshivas Tomchei Temimim in Manchester. He was a dedicated Chosid of the Rebbe, who left a family of descendants who follow in his ways of Torah and Chassidus.
A few years ago, Rabbi Weiss moved to Ramat Shlomo in Eretz Yisroel.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Hadassa Weiss, and children: Rabbi Dovber Weiss – Kingston, PA; Mrs. Ruti Rosenbaum – Melbourne, Australia; Mrs. Sara Rosenfeld – Eastern Shores, Florida; Mrs. Miriam Cohen – Melbourne, Australia; Mrs. Dina Creeger – Cincinnati, OH; Rabbi Shmuel Weiss – Ramat Shlomo; Mrs. Sheva Roitblatt – Crown Heights, Mrs. Baila Greenfeld – Crown Heights, Mrs. Ashira Goldberg – Crown Heights, Rabbi Mendy Weiss – Virginia; Mrs. Bracha Eizenbach – Crown Heights, and Rabbi Moshe Weiss – Melbourne, Australia.
He is also survived by his siblings, Rabbi Dovid Gershon Weiss – Bnei Brak, Mrs. Tzivia Rivka Weiss – Boston, MA, and Mrs. Yehudis Rochel Maness – London, England.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Mrs. Tova Gittel Weis OBM.
The levaya will take place today at 9 PM at Shamgar funeral home in Yerushalayim.
