Raised in Sharon, Massachusetts, Rabbi Wolosow was the son of Rabbi Chaim and Sara Wolosow, longtime Chabad Shluchim in the community. Following his marriage to Chanale, daughter of Rabbi Boruch and Tova Chazanow, shluchim in Manalapan, he and his wife joined the Shlichus there, where he led adult education programs with dedication and warmth.
During a midwinter family trip to the Pocono Mountains in Pennsylvania, Rabbi Wolosow’s life was suddenly cut short in a devastating tragedy.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Chanele Wolosow (Chazanow); their children Nochum, Dov, Mendel, Tzipa, Miriam, and Uziel; and their adopted children, Naomi and Tani.
He is also survived by his parents, Rabbi Chaim and Sara Wolosow of Sharon, Massachusetts, as well as his siblings: Mrs. Rivky Horowitz (Canton, MA), Mrs. Goldie Poltkin (Toronto/Crown Heights), Mrs. Mimi Wilhelm (Portland, OR), R’ Pasi Wolosow (Toronto), Mrs. Mushkie Lowenthal (Crown Heights), Mrs. Chanie Minkowitz (Sharon, MA), R’ Leibel Wolosow (Crown Heights), Mendy Wolosow (Hallandale, FL), R’ Berri Wolosow (Crown Heights), R’ Zalmi Wolosow (Crown Heights), and R’ Shmuly Wolosow (Pittsburgh, PA).
