We are deeply saddened to report on the passing of Rabbi Eliyahu Tenenbaum, a Crown Heights resident and a dedicated teacher of Oholei Torah for over 50 years, who passed away on Motzaei Shabbos, the eve of 16 Iyar 5783.
He was 76 years old.
Rabbi Tenenbaum served as a long-time Maggid Shiur and Meishiv at Oholei Torah Mesivta, educating many bochurim for 50 years.
He is survived by his wife Mrs. Chaye Sarah Tenenebam – Crown Heights, their children Levi Tenenbaum – Melbourne, Australia; Shlomie Tenenbaum – Crown Heights; Seema Tenenbaum – Crown Heights; Rochel Leah Banon – Crown Heights; Dovid Tenenbaum – S. Monica, California, and many grandchildren and a great-grandson.
The levaya will be held on Sunday, passing by 770 at 12:00 PM, Then Oholei Torah Mesivta, 417 Troy Avenue at 12:10 PM, then on to the Old Montefiore Cemetery in Queens. (No service will be held at Shomrei Hadas).
The family will be sitting Shiva at the Tenenbaum residence – 689 Montgomery Street.
