We are deeply saddened to report on the passing of Rabbi Chaim Brikman, the Rebbe’s Shliach to Seagate in South Brooklyn. He passed away on Sunday, 4 Cheshvan, 5786.
He was 58 years old.
Rabbi Brikman served as a devoted Shliach since 5751 (1991) in the Seagate and the nearby Coney Island areas in South Brooklyn, and served as Rov of K’hal Kneses Israel, a historic shul in Seagate. He was also a much-loved member of Hatzalah of Seagate.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Rivkah (nee Marozov) Brikman, and children: R’ Leibel Brikman – Montreal, Canada, Mrs. Rochel Chana Ceitlin – Seagate, Brooklyn, and R’ Isser Brikman – Seagate, Brooklyn.
He is also survived by his parents, Rabbi Boruch and Chaya Brikman – Crown Heights, and siblings: Mrs. Sara Chana Posner, R’ Mendel Brikman, and R’ Yosef Brikman.
The funeral will take place today, Sunday, October 26 at 12:30 pm in front of Chabad of Sea Gate at 3801 Nautilus Ave. Brooklyn, NY 11224. Burial at the Old Montefiore Cemetery in Queens, NY, at approximately 3:00 PM
Shiva will take place at the Brikmans’ home, Monday to Friday at 3844 Lyme Ave. Sea Gate, NY 11224.
