We are saddened to report on the passing of Rabbi Avraham Yitzchak Sasonkin OBM, from the Ziknei Chassidim and one of the oldest shluchim in Israel.
He passed away on Wednesday, 6 Kislev, 5783, in Afula after a battle with after a battle an illness at the age of 84 Years old.
He was the Rebbe’s Shliach for decades in the field of Chinuch, and was a mashpia in the chabad community in Ta’anach and Yeshivas Tomchei Temimim in Migdal Haemek.
He is survived by his wife Sara Rivka Sasonkin and their children Rabbi Moshe Sasonkin; Mrs. Chanie Kalmenson; Rabbi Berele Sasonkin; Mrs. Itty Goldshmid; Rabbi Nochum Sasonkin; Rabbi Yechezkel Sasonkin; Mrs. Malky Goldshmid; Rabbi Yehuda Sasonkin and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his son Rabbi Mendel Sasonkin, shliach to Akron, Ohio.
