We are deeply saddened to report on the passing of R’ Moshe Khussid of Oak Park, Detroit, who started out as a director in Soviet puppet and went on to produce a Purim film. He passed away on Erev Rosh Hashanah, 29 Elul 5783.
He was 76.
Born in Germany, Moshe studied in the famous Leningrad School of Film and Theater, and worked as a director in Soviet puppet theater during the 1970s and 1980s.
After becoming Frum he used his film talents and produced the Purim film ‘The Lot‘. And a documentary of his life story was also produced.
He worked for F.R.E.E of Michigan, gave weekly Shiurim and was mekarev dozens of Russian Jews to Yiddishkeit.
He is Survived by his wife Talya, and Children Leah Gotzel – Kishinev, Moldova, Chana Liba Braun – Brooklyn NY and Yechiel Khussid.
