For over 25 years, Devorah Leah Reiter, her husband Rabbi Yaakov Reiter, and their nine beautiful children stood as proud and devoted Shluchim to Roslyn, New York.
Devorah Leah Reiter strongly impacted anyone who ever knew her. She encompassed dignity and strength and was a powerhouse of kindness.
Despite her personal battle with illness, Devorah Leah never stopped looking for ways to turn darkness into light. Specifically, she did this by starting the organization “Circle of Kindness” to support families impacted by serious illness.
Devorah Leah would always encourage her family and friends to say Tehilim and do Mitzvos with joy, because she believed strongly and with her full heart that doing so brings miracles and breaks all boundaries.
Let’s continue to do so for her Neshama and ultimately bring about Techias Hamesim with the coming of Moshiach now.
She is survived by her husband, Rabbi Yaakov Reiter, and her children: Mushka Bernstein (Toronto); Chana Wagner (Portugal); Mendel Reiter, Sara Reiter, Esther Miriam Reiter, Tzvi Reiter, Fraidel Reiter, Yosef Reiter, and Shneur Reiter; and grandchildren.
She is survived by her parents, Yaakov and Yaffa Gottleib (Crown Heights), and Mordechai Banayan; in-laws- Dr. Levi and Raizel Reiter, and siblings.
The Levaya will take place on Friday, passing by 770 at 12 pm and burial at Old Montefiore Cemetery at 1 pm, 121-83 Springfield Blvd, Springfield Gardens, NY 11413. Meet at the main entrance.
