We are deeply saddened to report on the passing of Mrs. Devorah Butman, a longtime devoted Shlucha in Tel Aviv, Israel, and mother of Mrs. Michla Segal. She passed away on Shabbos, 10 Nissan, 5783.
During the years 5719 – 5728, the couple lived in Crown Heights before moving back to Tel Aviv.
Mrs. Butman served as head of the N’shei Chabad in Israel, with the encouragement from the Rebbe, and with great dedication.
She led the growth of the satellite N’shei divisions in Israel and spoke at N’Shei gatherings.
She was the wife of the Rabbi Sholom Ber Butman sheyichye, who is today the Gabbai in the Nachalas Binyomin Shul in Tel Aviv .
She is survived by her children, Rabbi Yosef Yitchok Butman – Lod, Israel, Rabbi Eliyahu Yochanan Butman – Chadera, Israel and Mrs. Michla Segal – Crown Heights.
She was predeceased by her son, Rabbi Yisroel Boruch Butman of Naharia, Israel.
The Levaya took place in Israel on Motzei Shabbos.
Shiva will take place at her home until Erev Pesach.
