We are deeply saddened to report on the passing of Captain (res.) Arnon Moshe Benveniste-Vaspi, HY”D, a combat officer in the Givati Brigade was killed on Tuesday by Hamas terrorists in northern Gaza, while defending Eretz Yisroel.
He was 26.
Born and raised in Los Angeles, Arnon learned at Cheder Menachem. At age 9, his family made Aliyah and settled in Yesud HaMa’ala in Northern Israel. In Israel he learned at Cheder Ohr Menachem Chabad in Tzfas.
Arnon was a combat officer in the Givati Brigade who was killed on Tuesday, He was killed by Hamas terrorists in northern Gaza while defending Eretz Yisroel.
He is survived by his mother Vered Vaspi-Tsabari, his siblings Yosef Yitzchak, Chaya Mushka. He was predeceased by his father R’ Dovid Benveniste.
The Levaya was held today at the Rosh Pina military cemetery in Eretz Yisroel.
The family will sit Shiva in Yesud HaMa’ala.
