Unique ‘Moshiach for America’ Session Inspires

On Sunday afternoon, 26 Cheshvon, in an exclusive, closed session entitled “Moshiach for America”, over 50 North-American Shluchim, particularly those who cater to English-speaking crowds, were provided a unique opportunity to learn, listen, and share experiences and perspectives, on how best to convey the message of Moshiach to their communities.
The event was held in Chovevei Torah’s Ballroom in Crown Heights, and was arranged by the Vaad Hakinus, under the auspices of the Merkos L’inyonei Chinuch.
The Shluchim were treated to a delectable brunch, and each left with a valuable Teshura: the book ‘Ultimate Jew’ by Professor Yirmiyahu Branover
Rabbi Yudi Spritzer, Shliach of Chabad at Monroe Township, emceed the event. Rabbi Yehoshua Hecht, Shliach at Chabad of Westport/Norwalk, inspired the attendees about making living with Moshiach a priority, and recounted some personal stories bringing that message home.
Rabbi Shalom Shapiro, Shliach in Manhattan, NY, spoke on the paramount importance of Shluchim organizing their own lives so that they are living with Moshiach practically. For only by living it ourselves can we communicate the message of Moshiach to others.
Shlichus, especially whilst disseminating the vital message of Moshiach, necessitates great financial ability, that being the impetus for the second half of the session: a workshop on fundraising by Rabbi Yosef Carlebach, Shliach to Rutgers, New Jersey, who offered practical fundraising tips and strategies for effective fundraising.
Concluding the session was Flatbush Shliach Rabbi Levi Liberow, who explained the Shlichus utility of two recent publications on Moshiach: ‘Perspectives Magazine’, as well as ‘A Perfect World – It’s in Our Hands’.
