During a visit to Lyon, France, Chabad photographer Mordechai Lubecki documented the many Chabad-Lubavitch institutions serving the city’s Jewish community, helping strengthen Jewish life and pass on the traditions of Yiddishkeit to the next generation.
The photo gallery features Beis Chabad of Lyon, Mikvaos, the Lubavitch school, Gan Israel summer camp, a Judaica store, a kosher grocery store, a pizzeria, a bakery and pastry shop, a Lubavitch-style kosher snack bar, and a Holocaust memorial site.
The visit offered a glimpse into the community’s network of religious, educational and communal institutions, which help Jewish families maintain an active Jewish life.
The institutions and activities are led by Rabbi Shmuel Gourevitch, director, together with Rabbi Menachem Nemannov, Rabbi Shalom Gourevitch and Rabbi Sender Gourevitch.
Lubecki thanked the local team for their warm welcome and for their dedication to the Jewish community of Lyon.
