Dozens of Chassidim and local residents gathered at Me’aras HaMachpela in Chevron to mark 50 years since the special Hakafos held in Chevron on 4 Cheshvan 5737, following the Rebbe’s call during Hakafos on Shemini Atzeres to celebrate with the Torah in Me’aras HaMachpela and publicly affirm Chevron’s eternal connection to the Jewish people.

The event opened with Maariv, followed by joyous and moving Hakafos at Me’aras HaMachpela, as participants gathered to commemorate the historic occasion.

A Chassidishe farbrengen was then held at the Chabad House in Sdeh HaMachpela, led by Rabbi Dani Cohen, the Rebbe’s Shliach to Chevron.

During the farbrengen, Rabbi Baruch Marzel and Rabbi Gabriel Marzel shared memories of the historic Hakafos, alongside words of inspiration about the significance of the event, strengthening one’s hiskashrus to the Rebbe Melech HaMoshiach, and continuing Chabad’s activities in the City of the Avos.
