After a terrifying ordeal in the skies, the approximately 180 passengers from the Flydubai flight that made an emergency landing in Saudi Arabia have finally returned safely to Israel. The replacement Flydubai flight landed at Ben Gurion Airport, where the passengers were greeted by the airport control tower and welcomed with cheers and singing from inside the aircraft.
Among those arriving home was one of the Israeli heroes who helped overpower and restrain the Omani co-pilot during the attack. Following the safe landing, he met with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at Ben Gurion Airport.
