Yeshivas Kayitz Brings European Bochurim Together in Croatia

Dozens of Bochurim from Tomchei Temimim Austria-Hungary (Yeshiva Ketanah) participated in a special Yeshivas Kayitz held at a spacious, picturesque retreat in Croatia, which was rented exclusively for the yeshivah.
The program combined ruchniyus and gashmiyus, providing the Bochurim with an uplifting experience that reflected the Chassidic ideal of “a healthy soul in a healthy body.” Activities included quizzes reviewing the Nigleh and Chassidus learned throughout the past yeshivah year, engaging panel discussions with members of the hanhalah led by Rosh Yeshivah Rabbi Chaim Fildstil, barbecues, recreational activities, and inspiring farbrengens. One of the farbrengens was honored by the participation of Croatia’s Chief Rabbi and the Rebbe’s Shliach, Rabbi Pini Zaklos.
Yeshivah director Rabbi Shmuel Glitzenstein said the Bochurim thoroughly enjoyed the program.
“The Bochurim benefited tremendously from the experience—it was uplifting both physically and spiritually. We are now preparing for the upcoming 5787 yeshivah year, which will mark the opening, for the first time, of a Mesivta (Mechina) for the children of Shluchim across Europe, serving as preparation for Yeshivah Ketanah.”
The new Mesivta will also be located on the yeshivah’s expansive campus in Mosonmagyaróvár, Hungary, near the Austrian border and just a short drive from Vienna International Airport.
Extensive construction and development are currently underway at the campus, along with the addition of new staff members, as preparations continue for the expansion of the yeshivah.
