The Rebbe’s Shliach in the town of Salento, in Colombia’s Coffee Region, Rabbi Shmuel HaKohen Friedman, was invited this week to a special meeting at the Israeli consulate with Colombia’s Consul in Israel, Mr. Carlos Piñeros Torres. The consul was introduced to the work of Chabad of Salento, serving both tourists and the local Jewish community, alongside the town’s Chabad Chesed Center, which supports all those in need.
The consul was particularly impressed to hear about the Rebbe Melech HaMoshiach’s universal leadership and vision, spreading the light of faith in Hashem and the Seven Noachide Laws, and working to bring the world closer to true Divine Kingship in preparation for the Geulah.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the consul requested to take a photo with a picture of the Rebbe, which Rabbi Friedman presented to him. He expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to assist Chabad Houses in his country and expressed his desire to continue strengthening ties with the Rebbe and his Shluchim.
