Rebbetzin Mindel Bornstein, A”H, passed away on Sunday night, 15 Shevat, 5786. She was among the early Shluchos in Italy and played a central role in building and sustaining Jewish life and Chinuch in Bologna and Florence for many years.
She is survived by her husband, Rabbi Eliyohu Dovid Bornstein, and their children: Mrs. Devorah Leah Kirsh (Chelyabinsk, Russia), Mrs. Chani Konikov (Orlando, FL), R’ Meir Bornstein (Goshen, NY), R’ Shmuly Bornstein (Crown Heights), Mrs. Rivky Shabtai (Crown Heights), R’ Sruly Bornstein (Beit Shemesh, Israel), Mrs. Chaya Mushka Haller (Dingley, Australia), Mrs. Malka Liberow (Porto Alegre, Brazil), Mrs. Breina Baila Horvitz (Rego Park, Queens), and R’ Sholom Ber Bornstein (Charlotte, North Carolina).
She is also survived by her siblings: Mrs. Leah Kaplan (Far Rockaway), Mrs. Marcia Katz (Crown Heights), Moshe Zimberg (Far Rockaway), and Mrs. Miriam Greenblatt (Far Rockaway).
Her life of selfless Shlichus and unwavering Hiskashrus leaves a lasting imprint on her family, community, and the many lives she touched across the world.
