Last week, a truly special and moving evening took place in honor of the birthday of Rabbi Daniel Shahino, Rabbi of the Communities of Moshiach Center 770, Rashbi, and Shtetl.
More than 200 community members and friends gathered to honor, respect, and express deep appreciation for the Rabbi — a true leader, a spiritual father, and someone who is always there for every individual.
Rabbi Daniel is not only the Rabbi of the community — he is a guide, a mentor, and a constant source of wisdom and sound advice. A Rabbi you can call at any time, with any question, and receive sincere guidance with an open heart.
The atmosphere throughout the evening was warm, family-oriented, and deeply inspiring. This was not a formal event, but rather a gathering of one large family, coming together to recognize and appreciate the person who leads them daily with unwavering dedication.
One of the most touching and emotional moments of the evening was the heartfelt speech delivered by his son, Shmuel (Shmuli) Shahino, whose sincere and moving words deeply touched everyone present and highlighted the strong family and community bond surrounding the Rabbi.
Rabbi Daniel himself also addressed the crowd, speaking from the heart — with humility, warmth, and gratitude to the community for the partnership, trust, and shared journey over the years.
Rabbi Lasry shared words of insight about the depth of Rabbi Daniel’s dedication, describing how in every conversation between them — even immediately after concluding the intense Hanukkah season — Rabbi Daniel is already thinking six months ahead, preparing for Passover.
Planning, organizing, and taking responsibility for the many details involved in leading and operating large, active communities. This is what true leadership looks like: always one step ahead.
The evening was produced at a high level and with great care: The outstanding food was prepared with love by Esther and Avi Levi. The beautiful singing by Elior Levi, accompanied by Shay Shlomo on keyboard, and the professional production and management led by Sigalit Habi, who ensured that every detail was perfectly executed.
The photos and videos from the evening tell the story on their own: a full hall, beautifully set tables, music, the Rabbi speaking, the audience listening — and above all, the love, respect, and appreciation the community holds for its Rabbi.
This was an evening of gratitude. An evening of honor. And an evening that reminds us what a true community is — one built on connection, care, dedication, and shared values.
We wish Rabbi Daniel Shahino many more years of health, leadership, inspiration, and continued success, and that we may always come together for moments like these — filled with joy, strength, and unity.
